Corporate Rowing

Corporate Rowing 2008

The Club's Corporate Rowing Challenge for 2008 is gathering momentum. At this time we appear to have 5 confirmed teams, and 7 possibles. We will accept a maximum of 12 teams.

As in the past, we will be looking for 2 club members to act as coach for each team, therefore we will require up to 24 coaches for this years challenge. The Challenge commences on Sunday, 7th September and concludes on Sunday, 12th October.

Further information will be forthcoming closer to the event; and have a look at the Corporate Rowing Page for more information.

Club Policies

Club Policies

The Club has formulated a number of policies (11) dealing wih various aspects of the club's activities and administration. Club members have a responsibility to be familiar with the contents of these policies. The Club's policies are available for download from this site (downloads/club documentation/policies).

Most policies are not especially relevant to the day-to-day activities of members, however I would particularly encourage members to read the policies on Boat Approvals, Boat Lighting and Coxed Boats.

The Committee will be discussing options for enforcement of Club policies, which may include requiring members to pay for damages incurred whilst in breach of policy, or suspension or termination of membership for severe and/or continuing breaches.

Coaching Structure and Direction 2008

Coaching Structure and Direction: 2008

The Club's Management Committee has spent some months considering the structure and direction of the Club's coaching resources.

A discussion paper has been prepared and is available on this site (downloads/club documentation/miscellaneous).

I encourage all members to read this document and forward any comments to me for further consideration.
