Contributing Photographers Ellen Green Ellen started rowing at school (SMMC), and over the past few years has also been coxing various Masters crews at away regattas; and in 2008 is pursuing her own rowing within the T&JCU RC Youth/Seniors Program. Both Ellen's parents are creative people, and Ellen also shows a strong creative side; over the past few years Ellen has been seen at many regattas (and sometimes in the boat....!) with a camera in her hand. As well as taking the usual shots of the crews in the boat and racing, Ellen also shows her creative side with many photos highlighting the regatta venue, or the many ancillary activities that happen at a regatta in between racing; often with a differing insight and angle to how rowers and non-rowers perceive the sport. Elaine Vucak A long standing Masters member (who moved down to Brisbane in mid 2007 and continues to row out of the Toowong RC), Elaine took up rowing later in life; and her years of long distance running and general sporting pursuits, have contributed to her quick skill development and being a sought after member of crews due to her great endurance; never say die attitude, and strong competitive spirit. Out of the boat, Elaine is an bundle of bounce and always the life of any social occasion at the Club. Armed with her little digital camera, it is always wise to watch out at a regatta - her high spirits and sense of mischief always see her taking photos showcasing the fun that is to be had at a regatta around the serious side of rowing. Nick Kuchin A long standing member of the Club, Nick was the driving force behind the establishment of the Seniors Program (aimed at non-masters) that today has expanded to the T&JCU RC Youth/Seniors Program (and the corresponding link to the TTCP). Nick, a former school boy and club rower form Melbourne, has led many crews in committed training sessions and strong racing at local and away regattas. Always with camera in hand (when not rowing....), Nick's photos showcase both commitment to racing and the fun to be had as a member of a T&JCU "away team". In 2007 Nick was appointed the Vice President, however, part way through the year moved to Hong Kong to pursue his career in aviation as a pilot for Cathay Pacific. Oarsome Images A small photography business owned by a member of the club, who can often be seen around the shed, on the water, at regatta's, and at social occsions with camera in hand.
